| 妹はしずかであたまがいいです。 |
One by one
- 妹（いもうと） → my younger sister
- は → no meaning
- しずかで → quiet and
- あたまがいい → smart
- です → is
Example
| My father is strict and scary. |
| chi chi wa ki bi shi ku te ko wa i de su |
| 父はきびしくてこわいです。 |
| My mother is kind and funny. |
| ha ha wa ya sa shi ku te o mo shi ro i de su |
| 母はやさしくておも白いです。 |
Note: adjective + person
Add 人（ひと）after the second adjective if you want to say ‘My younger sister is a quiet and smart person‘.
Example
My younger sister is a quiet and smart person.
妹はしずかであたまがいい人です。

What you learn: my mother, my father, my older sister, my older brother, my grandmother, my grandfather, my aunt, my uncle / Extension: Use 一番上の for the oldest and 一番下の for the youngest to describe people in your family.
