Verb Dictionary Form
Verb Dictionary Form is what you can find in a dictionary.
It is also called Plain Present Positive Form which is one of the four basic forms in Verb Plain Form.
Verb Dictionary Form finishes with ‘u sound’.
Example
- たべる (ta be ru) : eat
- のむ (no mu) : drink
- よむ (yo mu) : read
- きく (ki ku) : listen
- はなす (ha na su) : speak
- うたう (u ta u) : sing
- まつ (ma tsu) : wait
