The name of the bag

The bag’s name is Randoseru. Their parents usually prepare the bag for their children, but it can be a present from grandparents to celebrate their primary school enrolment.

The new one costs around 30000 yen. It is not cheap, so some parents cannot afford to buy it, in that case they may look for a second hand one for their kids.

You rarely see Japanese primary students carrying the bag which is different from Randoseru.
