Sentence pattern

It is because + sentnence

sentence + からです

Example

It is because I ate sushi a lot.

私はたくさんすしを食(た)べたからです

It is because my father is strict.

父(ちち)はきびしいからです

Note

The sentence in front of からです must finish with Plain Form.

Note 2

You can just talk about a reason (or cause) with this sentence pattern. It is often used in a conversation.

If you want to add a consequence (or result) as well, use the other ‘because’.

You can tell reason (or cause) as well as consequence (or result) in one sentence using this sentence pattern.
