I went on an excursion to Kodokan today. When I arrived, about 10 people, from adults to children, were doing practice. Everybody was very polite. I was impressed with them training not only their body but also their soul.
Many judo books were on bookshelves in the library at Kodokan. There was a book with which you can learn judo history with photos. Kano Jigoro who was a short person created judo because he wanted to become stronger. It started to be seen in the Olympics since Tokyo Olympics in 1964.
Kodokan offers judo demonstration at 5 so I will find some time to go next. People can stay at Kodokan and do judo practice during summer holidays but I will give it a miss as it sounds hard.
