How to use ち
- person + ん + ち
- person + suffix (to show respect) + ち
Note
ち without the suffix to respect people sounds quite rough and informal.
ち with the suffix sounds informal but ok.
So, you should use ち with the suffix
if you want to use ち to talk about somebody’s house.
がんばる子
舞妓さんちのまかないさん (Netflix in 2023) means ‘person who prepares makanai at a house where maikos live.’
The origin of んち
のうち is a formal way to say んち.
