Uchikubi Gokumon Doukoukai (UGD) is a Japanese rock band that started in 2004 and consists of 3 members.
Uchikubi means cutting a head of major criminals. It is one of the death penalties in Edo era (1603 to 1868). Gokumon means showing the head to people in a town. The rock band name sounds scary although they did not mean it. They just got the words from a TV drama the male vocal’s father liked. Doukoukai means a group or club.
People like their easy lyrics and beautiful melodies. They sing many songs that deliver a message of love. For example, they sing a song to love Japanese rice and appreciate Japanese farmers who make it. They also sing a song to love fish and appreciate Japanese fishermen to catch fish.
Japanese government decided to recognise them because of these fabulous food songs. Mr Abe, Prime Minister, invited them to the ceremony in 2019. They received a certificate to say that they were appointed as an ambassador to encourage Japanese people to have more Japanese food.
They do not sing food songs only. They sing a song to love muscle. The message of the song is doing a workout helps build a strong body and heart.
They also sing songs about Japanese summer and winter. You can see a cute character called, kopenchan, in the videos.

バンドの名前はこわいですが、
たとえば「日本の米は世界一」という歌は日本の米を愛する歌です。
首相に会う（しゅしょうにあう）
2019年に安倍首相は首相官邸で打首拷問同好会のメンバー３人を表彰しました。
官邸は仕事をする所で、公邸は住む所。
筋肉の歌（きんにくのうた）
打首獄門同好会の歌は食べ物だけではありません。
筋トレで筋肉をつけて体だけでなく心も強くしよう、と歌います。
季節の歌（きせつのうた）
冬の寒さを歌う「ふとんの中から出たくない」という歌もあります。
